Where can I get the latest Ukraine war news without bias?

No single source on a war is free of interest. Read what each side says in its own words, compare their claims and look for evidence that does not depend on either side. Newstake helps you find those original statements.

Check the latest news about the war in Ukraine from newstake.ai, and compare what each side says.

Every side tells its own story

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022, both governments have published daily statements. Each one wants to win the war and keep support at home and abroad. Their numbers on losses, territory and attacks often do not match.

That does not make every statement false. It means a statement is a claim by its author. Read it as that.

Read both sides on Newstake

The Ukrainian and Russian governments publish many of their announcements on Telegram, in Ukrainian and Russian. Newstake tracks these channels for you, from the Office of the President of Ukraine to the Kremlin, and gives you a short English summary of each post.

You read both sides in one place, with a link to every original post. No outlet stands between you and the source.

Compare, then check the evidence

Put two accounts of the same event next to each other. Where do they agree? Where do they differ? The places where they agree are often the most reliable part.

Then look for evidence that does not come from either side: United Nations monitoring reports, satellite images and reporters who visit the places involved. Journalists still do work here that no feed can do.

Expect a complex picture

This war involves security, energy, food, money and history, and many countries have interests in it. Simple stories with one hero and one villain leave out much of what is going on.

Newstake collects original statements and adds context. We stick to the facts and leave the judgement to you.
