Where can I find original company announcements?

Start with the company’s newsroom, investor-relations page or product blog. Newstake brings selected direct publications together and links you back to the company’s own words.

Match the question to the source
  1. A product

Check release notes and product documentation.

  2. Earnings

Read investor relations and the filing.

  3. A deal

Find the announcement and any agreement.

Find the right part of the company

A product update may appear in a developer changelog long before the main newsroom mentions it. Earnings usually sit on the investor-relations site. Research may have its own blog.

Follow links from the official company site. Check whether you are looking at the parent, a subsidiary or a different business with a similar name.

Separate the announcement from the copies

A release may appear on several sites. Check the named publisher, date and original link. Repeated wording does not mean several people have checked the claim.

If a partner announces a deal, that partner is the author. Look for the other company’s statement when the terms matter.

Keep the document you will need later

For a financial result, save the filing or earnings release. For a new product, check the release notes and availability page. “Planned” does not mean available.

Newstake’s company filter helps you find these leads. Open the original before quoting it, and check the publisher on each record: a company can be mentioned in someone else’s announcement.
