Which news MCP is best for my AI assistant?
Choose by the job you need done. For original announcements and research, Newstake’s planned MCP is built around going straight to the source. For a broad search of news coverage, compare existing news-provider MCPs.

Try the same question
Ask each tool for three announcements on a subject you know. Open its links. Can you tell who first published the news? Are dates clear? Are three results really three sources, or copies of one release?
Check the practical fit
NewsData.io and World News API publish MCP setup guides. Read the provider’s account requirements, coverage and usage limits. Confirm that its server works with the AI app you use.
We have not run a performance ranking of every news MCP. A small trial on your own topics is more useful than a universal “best” label.
Choose Newstake’s direct-source approach
Our planned MCP will bring selected original publications into your assistant, keeping the publisher and source link with each result. It is for readers who want to see the announcement before the retelling.
